"fun"
iPod Touch.
Palm Centro.
Books.
Nintendo DS.
Nintendo Wii.
xbox 360.
GameCube.
Magazines.
TV.
DVDs.
MacBook.
Puzzles.
Board Games.
Each day I am bombarded with all the fun little ways I've packed into my life to pass my time. To fill the time between work and sleep, sleep and work. Distractions. What are they distracting me from? What are they my escape from? Am I really having "fun", or am I just distracting myself from something I'm not living?
Maybe I need a new hobby.

I agree completely!
Tis why I didn't buy an ipod touch. =P I almost did, and felt a moment of conviction thinking/praying about it.....and I got really upset at myself for wanting it instead of wanting to give it to perhaps someone else in their missions endeavors, or to a charity or the church....
I think the key probably lies in figuring out how to center our lives
more around loving/serving others, caring for the poor, etc... it's
hard to do when we are so darn tired from work, and when nobody around
us seems to notice the vast amount of distraction that invades our
lives in such a subtle fashion...
puzzles are fun? that's new
distracting you from nothing! everyone does the hobbies you do so don't feel bad
